The Hassle-Free Guide to Ordering Your Favorite Vapes Online

Buying vapes in-store used to be the only option. You’d head out, hope the shop had your preferred flavor, and if they didn’t, you’d settle for something else—or leave empty-handed.

Now, shopping online has changed everything. Instead of making a trip, you can browse, compare, and order exactly what you want without leaving home. No long lines, no hassle. But if you’ve never bought vapes online before, or you want to avoid common mistakes, there are a few things you should know.

5 Good Reasons to Buy Used Clothing

Clothing is something that everyone in the country has in common. Particular preferences about clothing are secondary to the fact that it's something that we all need and is a regular part of our lives. It's not often, however, that we give much thought to why we make the purchases that we do. This makes it a great time to think about clothing purchases and consider why thrift shopping, or purchasing used clothing, has become so popular.

Giving Assistant - What's it all about?

If you're like me when you shop online you like to utilize one of those cash back options that are out there. Usually the amount you get back varies in percentage and can sometimes be pretty low like 2%. But even when it isn't much it does all eventually add up. I recently came across another option for getting that cash back called Giving Assistant. One of the main differences between them and other cash back platforms is you have the option of keeping all of your cash back or you can choose to donate 1%-100% of your cash back to a nonprofit of your choice! It's a great way to donate to your favorite nonprofit and not even have to worry about putting a check in the mail.

Here are a few facts about Giving Assistant:

• They have over 3,000 partner brands (like Walmart, Apple, Groupon, and Zulily) plus, they offer high value, online coupon codes at over 6,000 brands.

• Shoppers earn an average 10% cash back on all their purchases. They can keep it, or opt-in to donate as little as 1%, or 100% of their cash back earnings to absolutely ANY nonprofit. (A $100 online spend could result in a free $10 donation your favorite cause!)

• They have a free browser extension, so making money (or donating it!) while you shop is completely automatic.

• They’re a Certified B Corp (one of fewer than 2,500 in existence) so you know we’re a good-for-the-world company.

• Their frugal online shoppers have raised over $4 million for over 18,000 good causes to date.

• They’re the Amazon Smile for the whole internet, but they raise almost 20x more per purchase for nonprofits.

• They pay out weekly using your preference of either PayPal or an eCheck.

I like to give back when I can, and especially around the holidays when many nonprofits need it most. Giving Assistant allows me to do this without effecting my budget AT ALL. Now if you ask me that's a win-win for everyone.

Sign up is easy and only takes a few minutes via either a Facebook connection or by creating a password combined with your email. Trust me it's worth those few minutes of your time!

Game Day ready with The Northwest

With my New England Patriots plush blanket and backpack in hand from The Northwest I'm ready for the fall weather and for those outside games. One thing about back to school that always comes to mind once September hits is that the temperatures are going to start dropping and those once pleasant outdoor games are going to start getting chilly. With several kids in our family playing various sports this year I know my new Patriots blanket and backpack will be getting lots of use. The backpack has lots of pockets both inside and out so there's plenty of places to tuck snacks and anything else we might want to take along with us, beside the blanket of course. And with it's generous size I can even use it during off season for outings to the park. This set is perfect for elementary through high school games. However, if you're heading to a college game you might want to consider one of their "Clear Zone" Stadium Friendly Totes instead to help move through security faster.

Treats for Small Animals from Chewy.com

My daughter recently got a couple of new pals since her hamsters both moved on to the great beyond. Now we have two gerbils in their place with the hopes they enjoy their home just as much as the critters we had before them. We like to always have special treats on hand for all of our pets so I was really excited about getting these for our new gerbils. Both treats offer them a little added nutrition in a different way so we can offer up both kinds to them at the same time. So far they both seem to enjoy the treats equally and they also like to run off with them as soon as we drop them in. It kind of reminds me of kids with candy. As soon as they get it they either run off and eat it, or hide it so no one else can steal it from them.

Kaytee Fiesta Pop-A-Rounds Treat Small Animal Treats give your pets a yummy treat that packs in the nutrition. It’s made of all natural popped milo, or sorghum, plus delicious and nutritious peanuts and sweetened with honey. Add it to your pal’s food to provide variety and fight off boredom, especially for picky eaters, or use it during training or just bonding with your furry bestie. Plus, it comes in a convenient resealable bag to maximize freshness.

Brown's Tropical Carnival Hoops & Honey Strawberry Flavor Small Animal Treats make great foraging and interactive treats for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, mice, rats and hamsters. These colorful hoops are fun to crunch and easy for little paws to hold as they nibble on the delicious natural flavors of honey and strawberry. Added DHA omega fatty acids and probiotics help keep coats shiny and ease the digestive tract as your pet enjoys a tasty treat.

Cracker Barrel Country Store - where Fashion meets Fun

As I'm sure you know by now I'm a big fan of the Cracker Barrel Country Store. I just love their apparel line and how unique it is. Pretty much every time I've worn one of my outfits out from there I've gotten compliments. And the inquisitive question of "where did you get that?" follows right after. Everyone knows it's not something they've seen at the local big box store. And I'm proud to tell them exactly where I got it (because normally by then my outfit is gone). I like being unique to everyone around me and that's super easy to do with their apparel because they only get each item in a limited quantity.

Advent or 12 Days of Christmas?

Some people are firm believers in celebrating the advent every year in December. While others are firmly against it. I for one like to celebrate the advent with my family, but with all the hustle and bustle going on we don't always remember to start on time, and don't always remember every single day along the way. Life is just so full and busy this time of year. To help relieve some of that stress we came up with a back-up plan. If we don't start the advent on time we start our 12 Days of Christmas celebrating instead. We start it whenever we realize we missed being able to fully celebrate the advent, and then move through the 12 days as we remember to do it - in other words not always 12 days in a row. However we always end the last day on Christmas Eve. This is just how we like to end our celebration in preparation for Christmas Day.

Each year we prepare a little something different for our 12 days of Christmas. This year we decided to do some fun drawstring bags with goodies inside of them. We are going to paint the numbers 1-12 on them so we know which day we are on and how many we have left. Using some super cute colored clothes pins I am able to hang the little bags from the picket fence pieces that we are going to also paint. Day 1 is actually going to be celebrated with the kids doing all of the painting, and mom and dad filling the bags. Each bag will have two small items for the kids (like squishy emoji's and bubble tape) so they both get the same thing to avoid arguments. And the last day will be filled with something extra special for the whole family to enjoy. I'm thinking maybe movie tickets or something we can do over Christmas break this year.

How about you? Do you have a special way you celebrate the Advent and/or 12 days of Christmas?
You can find lots of fun ways to celebrate the Advent and 12 days of Christmas on the Oriental Trading website. All products featured in this post are from Oriental Trading.

Christmas Traditions & Legends

Every year we do things around Christmas time that many would call traditions. And some traditions stem from legends started way before we were even born. You know like hanging mistletoe in a doorway so you can meet your sweetie there for a kiss. :-)

One of my all time favorite Christmas legends is leaving milk and cookies out for Santa - even though we all know he's not the one really eating them. I guess in some ways we are rewarding ourselves for all of our hard work during the holidays. Every year I make up little goodie bags for my daughter's teachers. And this year I decided to do them with a Christmas Legends theme. Instead of trying to make cookies from scratch and give them a glass of milk I opted for pre-packaged cookies, and little milk bottles filled with white packaged mints to look like the milk. This way I can prepare them ahead of time and not worry anything will spoil. I also found some milk and cookies ornaments that are super cute, and explain the legend of milk and cookies for those that might not know it.

Another fun tradition of ours that is also stemmed from a legend is hanging candy canes on the tree. I'm sure many don't even know there is a story behind the candy cane. My kids however know the story and take pride in it when we are decorating the tree with those red and white swirled candy J's. I've forgotten to pick up candy canes before, and even bought the wrong color (as I was told) and let me tell you it was not a good thing come decorating time. My kids are pretty particular about this tradition, and I'm okay with that.

How about you? Do you have any traditions/legends you celebrate with your family over the holidays?

You can find lots of fun (and some new) ways to celebrate traditions on the Oriental Trading website.

Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving

When I think about Thanksgiving I immediately think about giving thanks for everything I have to be grateful for over the past year. In our household we have always had a tradition of each of us telling everyone the one thing they are most thankful for from the past year. It's always neat to see what the kids have to say, and how it changes as they get older. That's actually what inspired me to expand the tradition to on a larger scale during our annual family Thanksgiving gathering. This year I am setting up a "Give Thanks" jar on the table and asking that everyone write on a piece of paper the things they are thankful for and place it inside. As an added incentive for those that might be a little hesitant to write out their list I have little treat bags with goodies inside for after they are done. Then after we enjoy our meal as a family I am going to read them allowed for everyone to hear. I thought it would be a nice tradition to start, and a nice addition for a page in my family scrapbook.

And who better to celebrate Thanksgiving with other than the original creators of Thanksgiving themselves (okay so maybe not the original)....the Peanuts gang! There aren't too many Thanksgiving cartoons out there and I have to say I'm quite okay with that because this one is my favorite. And I am sure you can agree they make pretty awesome table decor.

800W Folding Electric Treadmill

I previously had a treadmill, but it took up way too much space and my space was limited so when we moved I left it behind. When I saw this folding treadmill I was pretty excited because it's so much more compact than my previous one. I like that it has so many functions built into such a compact unit. When the part you walk on is folded upright the entire unit barely takes up any space. It has a set of wheels at the front even so you can easily move it around which is super convenient if you want to move it to a closet, or from room to room. When down you don't need much room either, just enough for being able to comfortably walk, jog, or run in place. The handles are at a comfortable height and if you hold onto them while using the treadmill they will take your pulse and display it on the digital screen. If you let go of them then you will see other things like calories burned, distance, speed, and time. It even includes two places where you can keep a water bottle, music player, or other items you may want handy.

Apparel from the Cracker Barrel Country Store

One of my favorite parts of fall is being able to wear a whole different style of clothes. It's time to put away the tank tops and shorts and trade them for sweaters, cardigans, and scarves. As much as I love the warm sunshine I have to say I really like colder weather clothes. One of the places I like to shop for fall apparel is the Cracker Barrel Country Store. Anytime we stop into Cracker Barrel for a meal I have to go check out what apparel they have for the season.

Don't miss the One Day Sale at Radish Apparel

Radish Apparel is an online t-shirt stores that you can expect to find something totally fun and out of the ordinary. I like it because I enjoy wearing t-shirts that not everyone else has already from the local Wal-Mart. They are witty and some of them are downright hilarious. Plus if your like me and have a cat lover in the house they have some super cute cat inspired t-shirts. I got the two above for my daughter for Christmas and I know she will LOVE them!

I will note that if you're ordering a ladies cut of shirt like I did to be careful if you're a fuller figured gal up top. I ordered my shirt in a size XL (one above my normal t-shirt size) since it was a ladies cut and it was still too small for me. I'm sure had I gone with the men's (unisex) shirts I would have been fine, but the ladies cut tends to be a bit more fitted sometimes. Other than that the size mediums that I ordered for my daughter look like they will fit her perfectly and she normally wears a size small in regular cut shirts.

Make sure you check out the Radish Apparel website today for their hot $12 t-shirt special. And to sign up for an online account so you can get 20% off your first order.

Happy Fall Y'all!

One of my favorite parts of fall has to be the colors. I love when the leaves on the trees start to turn from their brightly colored greens to even more beautiful yellows, oranges, and reds. Living in the country you really get the opportunity to appreciate the physical changes in nature as they happen. Not just as they change colors on the trees, but as the leaves fall off the trees too of course! Either way I am very thankful for the blessing of a large window to look out every day and see these changes take place. Of course after all the leaves have changed and fallen off the trees it's not quite as beautiful outdoors. And that's why I enjoy decorating inside my house for fall too. Then I can appreciate those fall colors even longer.

My daughter and I recently took on the task of doing some at home fall decor DIY projects. One of them was making a new centerpiece for our bookshelf in the living room and I have to say I am quite impressed with how well it all came together. We painted three ceramic pumpkins and a wooden tray and then added some fall colored leaves for an extra splash of color. It looks really nice sitting on the bookshelf and gives the room a nice fall feel. Plus I had the added bonus of some mother-daughter bonding time which was pretty great in my book.

Another project we did was a DIY fall wreath. I was a little nervous on this one because it actually required me to think outside of the box when it came to decorating it. But once again I have to say I am impressed with myself because as you can see it turned out quite nice. I've included some steps/tips below in case you'd like to give this project a try!

1. I used a metal wreath frame which helped me quite a bit to get started.
2. I cut a circle from cardboard and then did some cuts a few inches in all the way around it (making it look like a sunshine) then weaved it onto the wreath frame giving me a flat surface to glue my paper cone onto.
3. I used scrapbook paper cut into four 6 x 6 pieces for the colorful cones.
4. On the ends of the solid colored papers I used some fall embellishments for variety.
5. In the center I layered some fall leaves and finished it off with a large button in the middle.

Really it ended up being a pretty easy project once I got started. The hardest part was laying it all out to decide what papers and decor I wanted to use on it.

So there you have it now I'm ready indoors and outdoors to welcome my guests with a Happy Fall Y'all! (PS: I didn't really paint that on my pumpkins it's just added text to my photo.)

You can find supplies for both of these projects right on the Oriental Trading website under Fall.
