Bake Well with Immaculate Baking! #IBBakesWell #PlatefullCoOp

I'd heard of Immaculate Baking before, but never had the experience baking with their products until now. I'm one of those people that loves to bake, and would like to do more from scratch baking, but just can't seem to find the time. Well, thanks to Immaculate Baking and their scratch baking mixes I can bake lots of treats for my family that are close to homemade. Immaculate Baking uses the same ingredients you would use if you were to bake cookies, cakes, and brownies from scratch. Immaculate Baking’s eight new dry baking mix items have 0g trans fat, and does not contain artificial preservatives or high fructose corn syrup.

I decided to do a taste test with my family since I already had a package of another brand of brownies in my pantry just to see which they would pick. I wanted to find out if they could tell a difference between a popular name brand brownie mix and the Immaculate Baking scratch baking mix. I made up both pans of brownies while no one was home so there was no way they'd know ahead which was witch.

Upon baking the brownies there really wasn't much difference in the appearance between the two pans. It worked out perfect because when looking at them they had no idea which one was what brand. So I proceeded to cut up the brownies and give each of them a small piece of each kind. And after they had tried both everyone agreed that the brownie mix "A" was better. They said it tasted more like a brownie, and that the other one kind of tasted like chocolate cake more than a brownie. And my husband even went as far as comparing it to brownies his mom made when he lived at home. Now I can't wait to bake some more of the Immaculate products to see just how great they turn out too!

When my husband and I first got together it was a whole new journey for me. I'd always been a city girl and taken vacations to amusement parks growing up. Just like any trip, a marriage isn't about where you're going, it's about the unexpected experiences along the way that make it truly worth going the distance.

I figured this was the best way to do it so that I couldn't use the excuse of "I forgot" to log my information. I also knew having a wireless device would make it so much easier to track and see my progress with. So with that I was set to head home with my Fitbit Zip and ready to get tracking!

So once I got home I opened up my online account and began by setting my goals and connecting my device. All of which I might add was very easy to do and took very little time. Now I have something that will help keep me accountable and will even reward me for doing what's good for my health!

#Ozeri WeightMaster Digital Bath Scale

Really it's the perfect scale for anyone that wants to track their weight and see how it changes from day to day.

Sharing the #SwifferEffect with a #BigGreenBox

I was so excited when the delivery man came and delivered my two Big Green Boxes! I couldn't wait to tear one open and see what was inside. Curious to know? Well here's what all I got:

• A Swiffer Sweeper for dry and wet sweeping.
• Swiffer Sweeper Dry Cloth refills in Febreze Lavender scent.
• Swiffer Sweeper Wet Mopping Refills.
• Swiffer Dusters for hard to reach places!
• Swiffer Dusters Refills in Gain scent.

Of course once I got my peek inside I had to rip open the sweeper and dusters package and get them assembled right away so I could test them out. I'd had experience with the Swiffer Wet Jet before, but these were both new in my home.

Thanks to Swiffer I can now dust in between my stereo components and around the base of my TV. Before I had always just used a towel with a little spray on it and only been able to get just the front area. This of course left behind dust back where I couldn't reach. Which also left me frustrated and not wanting to even dust because I knew I wasn't doing the entire job right. But with a Swiffer Duster I can reach all the way back and around.

And now for my bathroom journey in Swiffering. Before I had pretty much given up trying to get the dust and hair on the floor around our air vent. It was pretty much a never ending battle trying to find something that would reach all the way up to the vent and actually pick up the dust and hair on the floor. I tried a broom, mop, both of my sweepers but nothing ever picked it up. Most of the time I ended up getting down on floor and using a wet paper towel. But now thanks to my #BigGreenBox I have the right tools for cleaning my bathroom floor. And because the Swiffer Sweeper has both wet and dry refills I can clean the floor every day if I choose with a dry pad, then once a week with a wet pad for an added clean and shine!

And now onto the fun part, sharing my second Big Green Box with my best friend. I actually had to deliver her box to her in bed because she had a back injury that had left her pretty much bed ridden until her surgery. Thankfully she was able to sit up and open the box so I could snap some photos of her enjoying her new Swiffer products. I thought she was the best person I could share these with because they would be able to help her with easy cleaning after the surgery. The Swiffer Sweeper is just as effective (if not more in some cases) when cleaning hardwood floors like she has. And with the Swiffer Dusters she won't have to bend over so much because it has a nice long handle. She was super excited to receive her package and told me she couldn't wait to test them all out as soon as the doctor gave her the all clear to be up and moving about.

Modern Pioneering - We can be self-sufficient!

I received this book for free from Blogging for Books for this review.

Modern Pioneering by Georgia Pellegrini is an excellent book if you're interested in becoming more self-sufficient. It starts out with the basics of how to garden efficiently. Who knew it was more than just picking what you wanted to grow and dropping some seeds in the ground? Well Georgia tells you everything you need to consider from gardening inside vs. outside to the various things you can garden and consume. But it doesn't stop there, she event tells you how to properly care for your garden to maximize your crops. Then the next chapters tell you how to harvest your garden, then how to use it after it's been picked. There are many choices from preserving, to lots of different easy to prepare recipes. Plus in the back of the book there's some excellent life skills that everyone would enjoy learning like how to clean water, how to build a fire without matches, how to change a tire, and so much more! I actually think this might have been my favorite part of the whole book. So much great information I sure would have loved to know early on in life before I had a husband to teach me several of these things.

A is for “awesome” in these seven ABC play dates from Nick Jr.! Kids learn about letters and reading as they visit libraries with Team Umizoomi and Diego, help Dora save ABC animals, and jump into classic stories with Blue’s Clues and the Wonder Pets!

• Team Umizoomi: To The Library:  A girl calls for Team Umizoomi to get a book from the library called "Good Night Polka-Dot Pirate" as it is up to the team to check out the book and take it to the girl. 
• Dora The Explorer: ABC Animals:  Dora and Boots are with the Giant ABC Book. When the book opened, the Armadillo came out asking for help. According to Armadillo, all of his animal friends inside the Giant ABC Book are missing and now he is all alone. Dora and Boots help Armadillo find all of his animal friends by going through The Elevator at E, through The Slippery Slide at S and on to Z.
• Blue’s Clues: Blue’s ABC’s:  By reading off a grocery list, we help Mr. Salt and Mr. Pepper do their grocery shopping in order to feed a hungry Paprika. Later, we skidoo into a storybook and determine the correct order of words to make complete sentences through visual and contextual clues.
• Go, Diego, Go!: Linda the Librarian:  Alicia is opening a new library and it's up to Linda the Llama and Diego to bring her the new books.
• Ni Hao, Kai-Lan: Kai-Lan’s Big Play:  Kai-Lan and her friends are putting on a play based on the Chinese folktale about the Monkey King. When Rintoo gets the part that Hoho wanted, Hoho quits the play and it's up to the viewer to help Kai-Lan figure out what to do.
• The Wonder Pets: Save Humpty Dumpty:  The Wonder Pets get a call from Humpty Dumpty who is teetering precariously on a wall in a pop-up book. 
• The Wonder Pets: Save the Itsy Bitsy Spider:  Then the Wonder Pets help the distraught spider that keeps being flushed down the waterspout in a painting.

Colors have never been more exciting with these fun adventures alongside your favorite Nick Jr. friends!

• Bubble Guppies: The Crayon Prix!:  Green means GO! The Bubble Guppies are learning about colors while car racing! Help them mix colors, make new shades, and speed across the finish line! 
• Dora the Explorer: Quack! Quack!:  When Dora and Boots color in a picture of Mami Duck and her eggs, their coloring book magically comes to life and the eggs start to hatch. Suddenly, the wind blows one of Mami Duck’s eggs away. Oh no! 
• Team Umizoomi: Kite Festival:  Jeannie can’t wait to fly her kite at the big Umi City Festival. But, when a gust of wind blows the kite out of her hands and scatters its pieces throughout Umi City, she needs Team Umizoomi’s help to find the missing pieces. 
• Blue’s Clues: Colors Everywhere!:  Today we’re painting portraits of our friends. We play Blue’s Clues to figure out who else Blue wants to add to our Portrait of Pals. All the colors then dance, mix and sing the color mixing song along with Joe. 
• The Wonder Pets!: Save the Moose in the Caboose!:  Ming-Ming draws a colorful story about a Moose stuck in a caboose that’s headed for a cliff!

A Haunted House 2 on Blu-Ray/DVD

When I was growing up there were an abundance of horror-movies out there, and let me tell you I watched a few of them that at the time really scared me to death! As I got older and learned they were only movies and the story lines weren't true I looked back and realized how silly I was getting scared. Now days I think there are more horror-movies turned comedies than straight-up horror movies. And well, I think that's great. I'd rather watch a movie that's funny then one that may scare my kids. A great example of this is portrayed in A Haunted House 2 starring Marlon Wayans (Scary Movie series, White Chicks) and Cedric the Entertainer (Madagascar, The Original Kings of Comedy). Let me tell you this movie will have you holding your sides and rolling on the floor. I'm not sure if I laughed more out of the movie being funny, or how ridiculous some of the "scary" parts were supposed to be. Over all it was a great movie and the whole family thought it was funny.

Synopsis:
Having overcome the demons of his past, Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) is ready to start over with his new girlfriend Megan (Jaime Pressly) and her two adorable kids, Wyatt (Steele Stebbins) and Becky (Ashley Rickards).
