Scooby-Doo not only was (but still is) my favorite cartoon. And thankfully that love has passed onto my daughter too! There's nothing better then curling up on the couch with her on a rainy day and binge watching some Scooby-Doo cartoons!

Have lots of laughs with Woody Woodpecker

I remember watching Woody Woodpecker as a cartoon when I was a kid. I also remember all the laughs I had while watching him. Thanks to this awesome Woody Woodpecker movie now my kids will have the opportunity to have those laughs too. We watched it this past weekend and both of my kids loved it. It was a little different than the original cartoon which only featured cartoon characters, but one thing that didn't change was how Woody made us laugh.

It's movie time with Despicable Me 3 and Leap!

It's Christmas break and that means it's time to watch lots of movies! We always catch up on all the latest movies over Christmas break because it seems like it's always too cold to play outside. So far we have watched Despicable Me 3 and Leap! and let me tell you we've been having lots of laughs. If you've not seen any of the Despicable Me movies then you are missing out big time. They are all super funny and build off of each other. The third installment in the series is just as funny as the first two - if not funnier. Leap! is a little more laid back and not back to back laughs, but the story-line is a good one and one you'll want to follow along with so pay attention. My daughter wanted to see it in the theater, but we didn't have time when it was playing so she was super excited to watch it. She wants to be a singer and dance when she grows up so the story was perfect for her!

SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE - Have you seen it?

I grew up on the Smurfs, so I was one of many that got super excited when they hit the big screen with the first Smurfs movie. And I have to say I was not disappointed one bit, I loved it! Here were are a few years later and they are back at it again with SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE. Another wave of excitement for me. It brings back so many childhood memories every time I watch the Smurfs. So of course it was only natural I had to check out this movie too. I wasn't able to catch this one on the big screen so I had to wait a bit longer..which was super hard because I had heard so many great things about the movie.

So guess what? I've watched SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE and I LOVE it too! It's a bit different than the original Smurfs movie which I actually liked. It's more about them instead of about human interaction like the first movie so it reminds me more of the original Smurfs cartoons. I won't go into all of the details, but I will say it's something I as a Smurfs fan have always dreamed of for Smurfette. Definitely a movie you don't want to miss if you're a Smurfs fan like I am.

What do you like to do on a rainy day? How about a movie!

When it's rainy out, which it has been a lot here lately it seems I don't really have as much ambition to get up and moving. I for one would rather snuggle up under a blanket and watch a movie with my kids. It's actually a great excuse for some mommy cuddling time with my daughter really, but don't tell her that. Plus we get to make some memories together while we watch a fun movie together and have some laughs. Over spring break last week we broke out some movies we'd been meaning to watch that somehow got lost behind the DVD stand and did some catching up on rainy day movie time. One of them was a good blast from the past for me...Pinocchio. WOW it had been a long time since I had last seen it on television growing up. Of course not much had changed...besides the quality of course. It's amazing what technology can do for an older movie to make it almost like something totally new.

If you haven't had the chance to check out Pinocchio yet I highly recommend it because seeing it in HD is amazing!

Disney•Pixar's Finding Dory hits Blu-ray Tomorrow!

Ever since we saw Finding Nemo we had hoped they would come out with a second movie so we could watch our favorite fish Dory again. So you can only imagine how excited we were when we heard she was going to have her own movie! Finding Dory is an all new epic under water adventure you won't want to miss. We just received our copy over the weekend and let me tell you we couldn't get it into the Blu-ray player fast enough. It was definitely worth the wait to watch it as our family movie night flick.
