Been missing your favorite episodes of Friends? #OwnFriendsTV

On September 22, 1994 the first episode of Friends aired on NBC, and since then the series, characters and its infamous taglines have become a global phenomenon. After 236 episodes and its ten season run on-air, the beloved series went into syndication episodes on a number of networks, and in 2015 Netflix acquired the exclusive rights to stream the series; eventually becoming one of most watched shows on the platform, until the close of 2019!

Making Dreams a Reality with Vera Bradly & Girl Starter

I've always been a big supporter of shows that support us ladies. I know everyone wants to believe it's a fair world out there and we have the same opportunities that men have, but lets be honest it doesn't always work that way. So when I heard about he new series Girl Starter I was pretty excited about checking it out. The first episode aired on 5-19 and I have to say it was everything I anticipated and more! Now I can't wait to see the next episodes to see how it all turns out.

Vera Bradley partners with the NEW TLC reality competition series Girl Starter, described as a blend of reality hits such as “Shark Tank,” “The Apprentice,” “Project Runway” and “American Idol,” produced by Al Roker’s production company (AL Roker Entertainment), the show is aimed at empowering young female entrepreneurs ages 18-24 and those interested in supporting their dreams.

The competition follows six steps of early phase business building, from ideation through pitch and features entertaining challenges, vibrant guest stars and a grand price of $100,000 in funding and services. The Girl Starter x Vera Bradley episodes will air (Fridays at 7pm EST on TLC) and features Vera Bradley Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Barbara Bradley Baekgaard as a guest judge.

If you caught the first episode and would like to shop for the winning bags you can do it online now! But you better hurry they are anticipated to sell out fast!

How about some classic TV shows for the long weekend?

I don't know about you, but shows now days just aren't the same as they were when I was growing up. That's why I get so excited when I see old TV shows come out on DVD. Especially when it's the whole season, or multiple seasons. One of the shows I recently found was Quantum Leap. It's something I can enjoy with my kids and not have to worry about their being offensive scenes and profanity. Plus it's a combo pack that has two whole seasons all together!

Seasons 1 & 2 - All 31 Episodes

What if you had a second chance to put things right? Take a trip through time with the daring Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula, TV's Enterprise and NCIS: New Orleans) and his hilarious hologram guide, Al (Dean Stockwell), in 31 extraordinary, groundbreaking episodes of the Emmy® winning series QUANTUM LEAP.

Journey along as Sam leaps into the bodies and lives of people throughout history to "put right what once went wrong." Twisting the hands of fate, he hopes to find some insight into the jump that will finally take him home. Don't miss a minute of the adventure in this combo pack with Seasons 1 & 2.

Another that was actually one of my all time favorites was Knight Rider. To watch David Hasselhoff and Kit on their adventures was so much fun. And now I can share that with my kids so they know exactly what I'm talking about when I refer to "Kit the talking car". Looks like I have plenty of entertainment for the family when the next spell of rain hits!

Season 1
Gear up for action with superstar David Hasselhoff and his supercar, K.I.T.T., as they throttle crime in every high-octane episode from the first season of Knight Rider. The series follows the thrilling adventures of Michael Knight, a detective thought to be dead, who's been given a new face and identity. His assignment: to fight crime with the help of an artificially intelligent, talking car named K.I.T.T., a high-speed, futuristic weapon outfitted with high-tech gadgets and a personality of its own.

Season 2
Ride shotgun with mysterious crime fighter Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff) and the hottest car on four wheels, K.I.T.T., as they chase elusive criminals in each action-packed episode. The heart-pounding second season of Knight Rider packs in even more thrills, more high-speed chases, and more full-throttle excitement with dynamic duo Michael Knight and K.I.T.T. in the action series that left all others in the dust.

Treat dad to a day of movies and relaxation!

Sometimes going out to a movie isn't an option when your budget doesn't allow it, even when you want to celebrate. Fortunately there are ways to celebrate and watch a good movie right at home and it won't break the bank.

Introducing the gift of free TV brought to you by the Mohu antenna, which offers unlimited access to free, over-the-air (OTA) broadcast TV (including ABC, NBC,CBS, FOX, etc) for a budget friendly, one-time fee. This means you can watch your favorite movies and shows in HD without a costly cable or satellite subscription that runs for about $99.10 per month.

Mohu offers different HDTV antennas depending on your needs and location:

The most popular is the Mohu Leaf ($39.99 - $69.99) - a 30 or 50 mile radius, paper-thin, economical design that can be hung and painted to match your room décor.

The Mohu Curve ($49.99 - $79.99) has a chic, arched design and the ability to access broadcasts up to 30 - 50 miles away. It’s perfect to put on display yet powerful enough to give you the shows you want in 1080 HDTV.

Mohu Leaf Metro ($19.95) has a 25 mile radius with a thin, durable HD antenna that's easy on the wallet and perfect for a city resident. Like the Mohu Leaf, the reversible black and white design can also be painted to match any room in the house or apartment.

Since we live in the country just on the outskirts of town the best option for us is the Mohu Leaf 50. It offers me a 50 mile radius to pick up signal from other towns larger than ours.

Now we can sit at home and watch a movie together and enjoy snacks made by the kids with dad for Father's Day!

Have a movie night in with your sweetie Mohu Curve style!

If you're like my husband and I making time and going out to the movies can be difficult. So we tend to stay home and watch movies instead. Plus we really can't see spending the money it costs to go out to the movies either. After tickets, popcorn, other snacks, and drinks you are easily headed toward a $50 (or more) date. Plus what's better than snuggling up on the couch and binge-watching romance movies on TV together? Well watching them for free of course! With a Mohu HDTV antenna offer you can get unlimited access to free, over-the-air (OTA) broadcast TV networks (like ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) for a budget friendly, one-time fee.

Give the gift of free TV with Mohu

Introducing the gift of free TV brought to you by the Mohu antenna, which offers unlimited access to free, over-the-air (OTA) broadcast TV (including ABC, NBC,CBS, FOX, etc) for a budget friendly, one-time fee.

This means you can watch your favorite holiday movies and shows in HD without a costly cable or satellite subscription that runs for about $99.10 per month. On average, Americans are spending more than $231 per year just on cable box rental fees alone. For that price, you could buy yourself and 10 family members free TV for a lifetime this Holiday!

Mohu offers different HDTV antennas depending on the user’s needs and location:

Since we live in the country just on the outskirts of town I opted for the Mohu Leaf 50. It offers me a 50 mile radius to pick up signal. We had been talking for awhile about shutting off our cable but so far had only downgraded to basic because we still wanted access to our local channels for news and sports. Now that we have our Mohu antenna we will probably go ahead and make that final leap and just turn it off completely!

Don't miss the premier of The Dovekeepers on CBS 3/31 & 4/1

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of The Dovekeepers book and DVD in exchange for my review. All images/videos are provided Courtesy of CBS Television Network.

Before receiving this sneak-peek opportunity I had never heard about The Dovekeepers. But when I read about it I knew I wanted to check it out for myself. I received a copy of the book as well as a DVD of the even series for my reviewing. I'm not a quick reader so I opted to watch the DVD first and am currently still reading the book. I don't want to reveal all of the details of the show before you have a chance to watch it, but I will say it's one of those that you'll want to devote your attention to. It's a great story about the women whose lives intersect in a fight for survival at the siege of Masada. The part I like most is that it's based on the true events it's not just another made-up film about one's opinions. It's based off of the historical novel by Alice Hoffman.

The Dovekeepers is a four-hour limited event series from executive producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett that will be broadcast Tuesday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 1, 2015 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

While you're waiting on the premier check out this video.

About the film:
Based on Alice Hoffman’s Bestselling Historical Novel About a Group of Extraordinary Women Whose Lives Intersect In a Fight for Survival at the Siege of Masada in 70 C.E.
The project stars Cote de Pablo, Rachel Brosnahan and Kathryn Prescott in the title dovekeeper roles, Sam Neill as first-century Jewish scholar and historian Josephus, and Diego Boneta as a star warrior of the Jewish army at Masada. The series is based on Alice Hoffman’s bestselling, critically acclaimed historical novel about a group of extraordinary women whose lives intersect in a fight for survival at the siege of Masada.

Set in ancient Israel, The Dovekeepers is based on the true events at Masada in 70 C.E. After being forced out of their home in Jerusalem by the Romans, 900 Jews were ensconced in a fortress at Masada, a mountain in the Judean desert. Besieged at Masada, the Jews held out for months against the vast Roman armies. The project will recount the events from the perspective of a few extraordinary women who arrive at Masada with unique backstories, but a common bond for survival. Additionally, these women, who work together daily as dovekeepers, are all concealing substantial secrets.

Hoffman’s novel was published in 2011 by Scribner, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, earning the New York Times’ bestseller status and widespread critical acclaim, including being hailed by Nobel laureate Toni Morrison as “a major contribution to 21st century literature.”

It had both of my kids, and even my husband laughing in no time. That to me says a good family movie night. Check out Signed, Sealed, Delivered on Hallmark

I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of the Hallmark channel and all of the great movies they have on. So I was pretty excited when I heard about the Hallmark television series Signed, Sealed, Delivered created and Executive Produced by Martha Williamson. I remembered the producer from Touched By An Angel so I figured it was worth checking out.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered
The new original series "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama that follows the lives of four postal detectives who transform themselves into a team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow always on time. The team includes charming Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius), the group's leader is a man of faith who prayerfully approaches his work with the goal of making a difference in people's lives; new team member, Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods.
The show airs SUNDAYS, 8/7c on Hallmark

This incredible series even incorporates scripture in its themes and in the conversations between characters. In FACT, The American Bible Society has built a Bible study to go with the series. A seven-day Bible reading experience to dig deeper into the meaningful biblical themes revealed in each episode of Signed, Sealed, Delivered.

So far I've only seen the first episode and I'm already hooked. Right off it had me intrigued as to where the first letter that was found would take them. It was one of those things that hooks you as soon as the letter is revealed. It's a really interesting journey to watch, and the characters in the series keep you entertained along the way. I can't wait to check out the Bible study that goes along with the series and watch the next episode next Sunday night!

You can keep up with all the latest from Signed, Sealed, Delivered and the producer here:

My Take:
I was given a 3-month trial of Hulu Plus so my family could check it out first hand. I have to say it almost has me convinced to give up cable. (Something I've actually been thinking about for a long time.) It has pretty much all the shows my kids love to watch all in one simple place.  And if they miss an episode they can always go back and watch it anytime it's convenient for them.  Did I mention you can watch it anywhere! I love that they can access their favorite shows any where my iPad can pick up a WiFi signal through Hulu online. And now that most places (including doctors offices) have free WiFi it's a GREAT way to keep them busy while you're taking care of other things.

Do you think you would enjoy Hulu Plus? Join Hulu Plus now and will get 2 weeks free to try it out!

Disclosure: I was provided with a free trial of Hulu Plus in exchange for my honest opinions. No other form of compensation was received and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
