New Party Game - Interaction

You’re with all your friends, you’ve got your family at your side but you need something to spice up the atmosphere. With kids in the mix and your own mother around it can be a little hard to find the right activity to suit everyone.

Rudy Games, an Austrian-based Game Studio, has recently launched the Kickstarter for a new interactive party board game, Interaction, that covers all ages… and all types. The sports-mad teen, the football-fanatic grandpa and the artistic aunty can find just the right degree of fun to challenge them through the game. The content is adjusted to suit each player’s age, interests and locations to make sure everyone is properly challenged.

With technology’s current level, this really should come as no surprise. The game is a party board game that has an app built in, which can learn and determine each player’s interests based on their previous answers to create the perfect game content. If the players choose, Interaction can also use their Facebook information to personalize the questions based on what pages they have liked and their recent activity. With other quiz-based games, once you’ve played them about ten times you can almost predict the questions. Yet, with Interaction, one of the best parts about the game is it  continuously provides new content available for regular download.

So when the party scene is failing, up to nine different players can get on board Interaction and play it out in categories based on knowledge, creativity, action, social and games.

They are running a Kickstarter now.  Find out more and get special perks here:

Treat mom to a family game day for Mother's Day

What better way to celebrate mom than a day with her family. I know for me I'd be happy to spend Mother's Day playing games with my kids and just relaxing with them. So why not break out some of the classics and get playing!

Monopoly has to be one of my favorite games from growing up. And maybe that's why I'm so partial to the original version. There have been so many since it, but none to me compare to the original. I know the board layout, the names of all the properties, and I get to use my trusty ole shoe token!

Aggravation is one of those games that you either love, or love to hate in my house. I guess it all depends on if you've tried to take the center hole short-cut and gotten stuck or not. My son will try it every time, even if that means he might lose. My daughter on the other hand won't touch the center spot for fear she will get stuck there. It's really quite entertaining watching the two of them play in their own special way.

I particularly like Parcheesi because I can remember playing it with my parents and grandma growing up. It's a game usually just my husband and I play though because the kids think it's too "old school" for them to play. I usually end up arguing with them that it's not old school it's classic and that's what makes it so much fun. Either way I'm just happy to have it in our game closet so I can share it with future generations to come. Who knows maybe it will make a come back one of these days!

Who hasn't at least once in their life said "Sorry" then giggled afterwords? I know I sure have when it's something accidental that turns into something funny. At least when you're playing Sorry when you giggle after you send someone back home it won't get you in trouble!

Morphology - The Hilarious Guessing Board Game

Morphology reminds me of Pictionary gone 3D. You basically make whatever word is on your card out of the included pieces instead of drawing them for team members to guess what they are. You start out by picking a card that will tell you what word you have to create with the included pieces. Then you try your best with the pieces to make the word through shapes, actions, you name it. You have one minute for your team to guess the word to win that round. The first team to reach the lily pad wins. This is another one of those "make you laugh" sort of games. It can really be a ton of fun moving the pieces around to simulate things in action. It helped me see just how creative we all can be when we want to win! This is just one of the cool games available from PlaSmartToys.com.

About:
• The hilarious guessing game where creativity wins
• Pick it • Build it • Animate it • Guess it
• The first team to reach the final lily pad wins
• Watch out; there are a lot of surprises along the way

Don't get SQUASHED!

If you're tired of playing all of the same old board games then it's time to check out SQUASHED. SQUASHED is a totally unique game like nothing we've ever played before and my kids loved it. I think it was because they could "squash" each other's players if you ask me. I thought it was fun because it was so interactive. The object of the game is to strategically eliminate the other person's pawns before they eliminate yours. You do this by rolling the dice and using your moves to either land on or pass over the top of a players pawn to "squash" it.  You can even squash an entire side of the cube by moving your pawn next to the king piece. I thought this part was fun because you have to decide sometimes if you want to squash one of your own pawns to get rid of multiple opponents pawns. It's a fun game that will have everyone laughing. This is just one of the cool games available from PlaSmartToys.com.

About:
• Watch out, you may get SQUASHED
• Roll the die and strategically eliminate other players
• Be the last player with a pawn on the SQUASHED cube
