Will he emerge victorious and win the Olympics for his school? This special was nominated for a Primetime Emmy® Award (Outstanding Animated Program).

She’s a Good Skate, Charlie Brown – Peppermint Patty trains for a figure-skating competition with Snoopy as her coach. Peppermint Patty attempts to cheer up Charlie Brown. How will the gang cope with their pals having left the neighborhood? This special was nominated for a Primetime Emmy ® Award (Outstanding Animated Program).

Life is a Circus, Charlie Brown – This special finds Snoopy joining the circus when he falls for one of its performers, a white poodle named Fifi.  Snoopy soon becomes a star performer, doing tricks on the unicycle, high wire and trapeze, and he’s renamed “Hugo the Great.” In the meantime, Charlie Brown is left distraught by Snoopy’s decision. What he doesn’t know however, is that for Snoopy, show business isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Will Snoopy ever return home or will the lure of stardom and his love for Fifi keep him from Charlie Brown? This special earned a Primetime Emmy ® Award (Outstanding Animated Program).

What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown? – This touching special finds the Peanuts gang in Europe as they visit various war memorials. They learn about the First and Second World Wars, and the sacrifices made by soldiers at various historical battles. In France they learn about the D-Day Invasion of World War II. As Janice undergoes treatments to recover her health, Linus questions why she became ill to begin with. This special was nominated for a Primetime Emmy® Award (Outstanding Animated Program).

You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown - Start your engines! Its Motocross season and competing against the likes of Peppermint Patty and the Masked Marvel – aka a certain daredevil Beagle named Snoopy – can intimidate anyone. Looney Tunes Rabbits Run now on DVD

I can remember growing up watching Bugs Bunny. It was actually one of my favorite cartoons. I'm glad to see him still in action with all of his pals (and some new ones) in new adventures like Rabbits Run. My kids actually sat down and watched the whole movie with me and laughed a ton. I was glad to see them enjoy Bugs just as much as I always had.

About:
What happens when Bugs Bunny becomes embroiled in a scheme surrounding the invention of a highly-sought after invisibility spray? The result is a mad-cap adventure set in New York City and Paris titled Looney Tunes Rabbits Run.

In Looney Tunes Rabbits Run, Bugs Bunny is a New York City cabbie who picks up the beautiful but bumbling perfume salesgirl, Lola Bunny, after she’s lost her job at a department store. Bugs, who drives Lola home from work in his taxi, has no idea he’s about to embark on the longest ride of his life!

In her spare time, Lola is an amateur perfume maker who’s convinced one day she’ll concoct the world’s most beautiful fragrance and sell it to the House of Moufette in Paris. Unbeknownst to Bugs, Lola, in one of her attempts to create the next big fragrance, has inadvertently invented an invisibility spray, and now the whole world is on their tails to steal her precious concoction!

On the run to Paris, Bugs and Lola must outsmart everyone from government officials, to Lola’s greedy department store boss, Giovanni and even Yosemite Sam, all of whom are after Lola’s “scent-sational” invisibility spray. Will Bugs help Lola thwart the bad guys and help her realize her dream of launching her own signature fragrance line? It’s a heart-stopping, looney adventure that animation fans won’t want to miss! Joining Bugs and Lola is a lineup of favorite Looney Tunes characters including Speedy Gonzalez, Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, Pepe Le Pew, Foghorn Leghorn and many others.

Tom and Jerry, who are all that’s left of Storybook Town’s petting zoo, accompany young Jack, who trades Hermione to a mysterious stranger named Farmer O’Dell in exchange for magic beans.

Jack’s mom is upset Hermione was traded for beans. Tom and Jerry, however, know there is something uniquely distinctive about these beans and bury them in the soil. As night falls on Storybook Town, Tom, Jerry and Jack fall asleep but are soon awakened by the magic beans, which have formed a giant beanstalk that shoots up like a rocket above the clouds and carries the trio to Fairyland – a magical place, high in the sky.

In Fairyland, Tom, Jerry and Jack meet several characters from legendary children’s stories and nursery rhymes. They also meet Ginormous, a greedy, tyrannical giant with a keen sense of smell, who terrorizes everyone in Fairyland. Jack realizes he’s living the role of “Jack” in Jack and the Beanstalk and learns it’s his destiny to fight Ginormous and free the citizens of Fairyland. Tom and Jerry join in, in what turns out to be an unforgettable epic adventure that promises to leave viewers sitting at the edge of their seats!

Bonus Tom and Jerry Episodes:

I Dream of Meanie
The Flying Sorceress
Abracadumb

I received a copy of Tom and Jerry’s Giant Adventure and it was in true Tom and Jerry form. My kids were laughing hysterically through the entire movie.  And thanks to my sponsor they had some great color sheets (featured above, just click to enlarge and print) to color after they were done watching. I have to say this was one of my favorites growing up, there was just always something about the relationship between Tom and Jerry that always kept me entertained.

Tiny Toon Adventures Crazy Crew Rescues!

Looking for a great DVD to watch instead of going out in the cold? The Tiny Toons are the perfect fit and they will definitely keep you and the kids giggling. I grew up on the original Looney Tunes so when they came out with Tiny Toons I was glad to see they had a new generation for my kids to enjoy.

They’re tiny, they’re toony, they’re all a little loony!  The new generation of Looney Tunes characters await viewers in this exciting new collection that features 17 hilarious episodes of the popular animated series on two discs. Those wacky kids at Acme Looniversity are at it again! There’s never a dull moment at this prestigeous learning institution with all the zany antics the Tiny Toon Adventures gang has in store. Plucky Duck stars in a hilarious parody of Thor Heyerdahl’s expedition on Kon-Tiki in Kon Ducki. Sepulveda Boulevard features a clever spoof of the classic film Sunset Blvd. starring Elmyra as a washed-up cartoon star hoping to make her comeback.  These and several other entertaining episodes are featured on the set.

Sesame Street Logo

GET READY TO KICK IT OLD SCHOOL AS SESAME WORKSHOP AND WARNER BROTHERS HOME ENTERTAINMENT GROUP RELEASE

Radical!  Far Out!  Sesame Street is turning back the clock as Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group released Sesame Street: Old School Volume 3 on DVD on November 6, 2012 for $29.87 SRP.  Take a trip down memory lane! This DVD picks up right where Volume 2 left off and allows fans young and old to kick it old school with unaired behind-the-scenes footage and five of the grooviest full-length episodes of all time.

The Sesame Street gang is ready to rock out 80’s style – Sesame Street: Old School Volume 3 features all of the most beloved memories from 1979-1984. Now you can re-live all those happy times from your childhood - remember when everyone surprised Maria in Puerto Rico for her birthday? Or when Snuffy and Gordon ran the New York City Marathon? Who didn’t love sending Big Bird off to his first day of school or join in on Big Birds’ tearful goodbye as he left for Camp Echo Rock?

With over six hours of episodes and bonus features including five full-length episodes and an interview with Caroll Spinney (Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch), this DVD rediscovers classic stories and offers the untold tales of cherished characters. Additionally, fans will get a special bonus – one of the most requested stories of all time, “Goodbye, Mr. Hooper,” where Big Bird learns of Mr. Hooper’s death. Recall the days of learning to count, sing and play with over an hour of extra bonus clips and audio commentary with Sonia Manzano in the episode “Sesame Street Goes to Puerto Rico.”

My Take:
I was so excited when they started coming out with the Sesame Street: Old School DVD's. I grew up in the 80's and watched Sesame Street all the time. I know it's still on, but a lot of the characters and stories are so much different. My kids and I have watched several episodes off this DVD and they love it just as much as I did when they first aired.  Thank you Warner Brothers for bringing back the good ole originals for us to all enjoy again!

Win it:  Two lucky readers will each win a Sesame Street: Old School Volume 3 DVD. This giveaway will end November 22nd at 12:01 AM EST. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to my email. If no response, a new winner will be chosen. Open to residents of the US.
