We received the Doodled Cats book and my 12-year old daughter is absolutely in love with it. The step-by-step instructions are easy enough for her to follow without getting frustrated. Definitely a plus in my book because some drawing books seem like the expect you to be a gifted artist right off the bat. Learning to draw in 3D #Samto3dDrawingPen

My son has been begging me to get him a 3D Drawing Pen for awhile now. He kept telling me how cool they are and all the things he could draw with it if he had one. So when I finally got my hands on one to review he was the first to try it out. And as you can see from the photo it wasn't quite as easy to use as he thought it would be. First he brought me the house he made. I said to him "That's not 3D, you're supposed to draw in 3D". So he went back to his little corner of the garage and kept at it. Finally after about half an hour he came back up with a little cube he had made.  I think he quickly figured out it's not something you can just take out of the box and create extravagant creations to start with. This is something that's going to take some patience and practice to get that good. He did finally admit to me that it wasn't as easy as it looked. I'm glad he learned something from it, and I'm also glad he didn't give up when he had trouble.
