Sometimes life calls for a special treat - Why not make it a @Tastykake

Sometimes life calls for a special treat, especially when you want to acknowledge that your kiddo has done well. I'm one of those moms that actually likes to sneak special treats in my kids lunches, and sometimes their backpacks for them to find at school. Matthews 1812 House - Sweet and unique, just like mom

As a mom I can honestly say that moms like sweet treats (at least the moms I know). I can also say we also like unique treats, something a little different than the norm to break away from the standard cookies and cake. With Matthews 1812 House you can get both a sweet and a unique treat all wrapped up in one. Now this is the type of delivery I like to see show up at my door. The fact that it arrived frozen didn't even slow me down from tearing open the package to grab out a slice. I love the way Eli's puts just the right amount of strawberry topping on their cheesecake so you get some with every bite. Plus if you eat it like I do (partially frozen) you can slice it really easy with a fork and the topping slices exactly where you want it.

It's already feeling like Valentine's Day at my house with all the yummy treats I've been getting to share with you. One of the latest I got was this set from Matthews 1812 House. Valentine's Day: Sweet Treats from Mrs. Freshley's

Do you like to get creative in the kitchen, but don't have time to whip everything up from scratch? Then let me direct you to Mrs. Freshley's for some fun and unique creative snacks just in time for Valentines. From simple to sophisticated you're sure to find something that will catch your eye. I thought it would be fun to make heart shaped snacks for my kids for Valentines so did a little practicing with the Dreamies just to see how hard it would be. And well, let me tell you it was so darn simple I feel silly I never thought of it on my own. By simply slicing a Dreamies cakes in half diagonally you can create a heart! As for the Oatmeal Cremes I just used a heart shaped cookie cutter I already had, and I have to say it turned out pretty nice too. I can't wait to surprise them with a plate full of "love" on Valentine's Day.

Here's a fun recipe you might want to try for yourself:

Chocolate Lovers Kabobs
Ingredients:
• 8 Mrs. Freshley's Chocolate Bells, halved
• 1 Package of strawberries, hulled
• 1 Package marshmallows
• 1 Package wooden skewers
• Melting chocolate

Directions
• Place one halved Mrs. Freshley’s Chocolate Bell on wooden skewer.
• Next place one strawberry, followed by one marshmallow.
• Repeat steps until skewer is full.
• Prepare melting chocolate according to package directions and drizzle over kabobs.

Getting crafty in the kitchen doesn't have to be time consuming or a difficult task. If I can do it, then so can you!

Silicone baking products have come a long way from when they were first introduced to the market. I know I personally didn't have a very good experience using a silicone baking pan I had purchased when they were first introduced. My food stuck to the pan and made it hard to get out.
