Softer Than Brittle - The perfect summer snack

When it comes to summer snacking there are lots of great choices out there. But not all of those choices are on-the-go, or summer heat friendly. I'm sure we've all experienced the melting of chocolate a time (or two) when forgotten in the car. Softer Than Brittle however is both on-the-go and summer heat friendly! What is Softer Than Brittle you may ask? Well let me explain:

Softer Than Brittle is a unique and flaky gourmet nut confection, hand-crafted from a 60-year-old family recipe spanning four generations. Carefully made in small batches in a copper kettle with just 6-7 simple ingredients, this better-for-you snack is vegan and is without preservatives, cholesterol, gluten, dairy or hydrogenated oil.

Basically I would say it's brittle for those of us that don't like the "break our teeth feeling" you get when trying to eat your average peanut brittle. But a little bit better. Softer Than Brittle has a nice smooth flavor that you taste from the first bite to the last chew. And it comes in more than just peanut flavor which is a big plus for me not being a huge peanut fan. I for one really liked the cashew version. I love that it even comes in a resealable bag so you can take a few out at a time and save the rest for later. Also great for taking on the go. Definitely summer safe because it's not chocolate that will melt. I actually tossed a few bags in our stuff for the beach this weekend so we have something to snack on while we are waiting for the hot dogs and burgers on the grill!

Flavors: Softer Than Brittle is available in almond, cashew, peanut, and pecan.

Buy it: Softer Than Brittle is available at retailers like Meijer or online at Amazon.

  1. I do not like hard brittle, either. This is softer brittle and is not made with hydrogenated oil which is very good. I would love to try getting some of this for me and the kids. It sounds delicious!
