Before receiving Gigi and Sophie the monkey I had only heard of Fingerlings. I had never actually seen one in person. So it was quite a treat for me to have one in hand and play around with it. Heck I thought they were just little toys that sat on your finger, I had no idea of the fun noises they made. I will be honest I probably played with Gigi for a good fifteen minutes when I first got her. It was a lot of fun doing the various tasks to make her respond. I think my favorite would have to be the sounds she makes when you rub her head.
If you can get your hands on any of the Fingerlings I would definitely say DO IT! The recipient won't be upset I promise you.
