Holiday Gift Guide: Threadz Make-a-Purse Kit #DIY #Giveaway - Ends 12-9
My daughter has always showed an interest in any sort of crafting I've done. From scrap-booking to crocheting you name it. I think she just wants to do what mommy's doing. And I'm okay with that, I actually enjoy crafting with her and even just watching her craft. It's fun to see a child's interpretation of instructions. I haven't been brave enough to teach her how to crochet yet, but I've found a few kits that have allowed her to make some of the same things I make on her own. One of them is the Threadz Make-a-Purse Kit. With this kit she gets to make a yarn purse on a loom. It includes everything you need to make the purse as well as step-by-step instructions. So with a little help from me to get it started she's off creating her very own purse, something she can call her own.
And as you can see from the smile on her face she LOVES her new purse. The included cord can be cut to any length for the purse strap, but she wanted it to be cross-body style so I only cut off a short amount. The best part is now that she knows how to make the purse, and we still have all the necessities (loom, needle, and hook) she can make even more purses in whatever color she wants with different types of yarn. This is the type of kit I like to get my kids because it's not a one time use then you're done. Next she wants me to get her the one to make a beanie hat. (Guess this mommy got a great idea of what to get for Christmas!)
They always say seeing is believing. Check out this awesome video that shows you just how easy the purse is to make.
