Skip the Pre-Wash for a Cascade Platinum Clean #Giveaway #CascadeShiningReviews - Ends 9-19

This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Cascade. I was provided the featured product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Does your family like to eat? I know mine sure does. Every Sunday my entire family on my moms side gets together for lunch. We have anywhere from 11-18 people depending on who all comes each week. We all bring a side dish to share and rotate who brings the main dish and desert. This time I made mac & cheese and some awesome brownies. Partly because it's something everyone likes, and partly to show them just how well Cascade Platinum works on dishes that haven't even been pre-washed. I even went as far as serving the mac & cheese in the pan I cooked it in so that it would be nice and dried on the edges before I put it through the dishwasher. We always make a full afternoon out of it so I knew I had plenty of time to run the dishwasher and show everyone the awesome results.

Did you stop and shake your head in wonder when you read my comment above about skipping the pre-wash? I know when I first read it in my Cascade materials I sure did. And it really took some convincing to get my husband to even give it a try. Here’s why you need to skip the pre-wash: Cascade Platinum works best when food soil is left on dishes because its special enzymes latch onto that food, breaking it down so it can wash away. If there’s no food soil, there’s nothing for the enzymes to attach to and your detergent isn’t working its hardest for you.

Okay, so now do you understand why skipping the pre-wash is so important? Wait, are you still shaking your head? I bet you're again like me wondering what about the food that was left on the dishes. Is it just going to sit in the bottom of my dishwasher? Or is it going to go down the drain with the water and clog the pipes? Well Cascade answered that too: Don’t worry about food left on the dishes damaging your machine or pipes. Few people know that there is a garbage disposal built into the bottom of almost all dishwashers– but there is! That disposal works exactly like the disposal in your sink. OH, okay now I understand. *Sigh of relief.* So I'm here now attesting to the challenge that it really does work. I loaded up the dishwasher with my un-rinsed dishes and set it on a normal cycle using only the Cascade Platinum detergent and rinse aid. When the cycle ended I couldn't believe my eyes, EVERYTHING had been washed off the dishes and they were shiny and clean. Everyone else couldn't believe it either, they were all debating on which dishes would still have leftovers on them. Guess I just made some believers out of my family! And thanks to Cascade they all went home with some to try out on their own dishes.
