For my project I used shaped sticky notes, plastic greenery, a pencil cup, some scrapbook stickers for decoration and the writing products I picked up in the photos above. I will never claim to be the most creative, or the most artistic of people but I think the idea I came up with was pretty awesome. And it gave me a chance to allow my daughter to help out since it was for her teacher. My daughter actually came up with the idea of putting the extra marks on the blank flower notes, and she helped me come up with great uses for the different items we used for the stems.
My daughter was heart set on taking the "flower" arrangement to school with her on the first day even though I wanted her to wait till open house that night. So I told her the only way I'd let her take it was if she took her iPod and took a photo of her teacher with it. Well, she came home after school and showed me the photo and I was so excited. They had another child in the class take a photo of them together, even better! I love the smile on both of their faces telling me this was going to be a great year.
I actually love back to school shopping because I get to check out all of the neat products that are new and on display. Plus there are tons of great deals so it's the perfect time to stock up for everyone all at once!
