Theo, an animated student of Godʼs
Word, lives in a cozy corner of a quaint English village, in the heart of the
Cotswolds, and entertains two mice, Belfry and Luther. The first DVD in the series, Theo: God's
Love, released on DVD through EMI CMG on 9/13/11.

The animation series of Theo guides children and adults
through a careful study of systematic theology. Theo discusses doctrines about
sin, Godʼs character, the Bible, salvation and
godly living with easy-to-understand illustrations that make children want to

My Take:
This is a really cute movie. The little mice reminded me of the little mice in other kids animated movies. My daughter even said "Hey, I've seen those mice before!". I think that in itself helped get her interest right off the bat. She seemed to really like the stories the movie told and at her age of five could keep up with them pretty well. My son that's 11 on the other hand got board and started playing a game while the movie was on. I think it was a little too slow and geared towards younger kids for him. I thought it did pretty well at telling the stories in a simplified manner for younger children. Retelling stories from the Bible can't be easy when you have to try to simplify them to a level little ones can understand all while trying to keep the original meaning.
