My Take:

We love it, my daughter and I had so much fun just sitting on the floor togther making snap fashion into awesome jewelry. It's so simple even she could do it alone after just watching me one time.  The package recommends for ages 7+, but my daughter is 5 and really could pretty much do it all herself.  I am sure she would need some assistance with some of the more complex projects and of course reading the directions. But as for just making basic snaps for the rings, necklaces, and bracelets she does just fine on her own. The simple steps are pretty easy to follow. First you pick the piece of circle fabric that you want to use, insert it face down in the snap maker, place a dome face down on the fabric, then press the arm down. Then you raise the arm, tuck down the extra fabric and the place a back on the snap maker and click it down onto the fabric and dome.  Finally you push the release button and you get a covered snap ready to clip to any of the included jewelry parts.  Of course the book has lots of more creative ideas you can try out like embroidery on the fabric, adding the included birthstone gems, and even monograms from the included sheet.
And here is what the finished product looks like:
We can't wait to get some more fabric to coordinate some of the snaps with her outfits. Right now there isn't a refill kit out yet so you have to call customer service to get spare snap parts, but they plan to have one out by fall time. This is a great way for kids to make their own fashion jewelry that they can use over and over with their changing styles and moods! Who knew making jewelry for kids would be so much fun.
