Dinner, a cruise, and a hot date!

I'm sure you probably chuckled as you read the title to this post, but hey just look at that snazzy looking fella on my arm! My husband isn't usually one for dressing up. Sometimes if I'm lucky he will put on a nice t-shirt and his "good" pair of jeans. And if I'm really lucky instead of the t-shirt he will put on a polo or button down shirt. But that means we are doing something special. Kind of like the night this photo was taken.

We went on a dinner cruise aboard the M/S Mount Washington on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. We were on a family vacation but made plans for a night out with my husbands parents. We only get to see them once a year since they live so far away so we decided to do something special with them and no kids. And I have to say it was really a wonderful evening all around.

We started off our night with an amazing buffet style meal. And let me tell you it was really good..so good I didn't even have room for dessert for at least an hour after! I'm not usually a big eater, but I made an exception because I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad I did because it was all so good!

After dinner we walked around the boat deck and took in the beautiful view. We were on a special "Full Moon" Cruise, but thanks to Mother Nature and her desire to fill the sky with clouds we never got to see the full beauty of the sunset or the moon. It was a really beautiful night though so I am definitely not complaining.

I mean how could a gal complain with a date like mine? It's actually a funny story how we ended up looking so good together. When we got dressed I had no idea my husband was going to put on his new regatta blue Bermuda Sands Victory Polo. We had originally planned for him to wear it the same time as I wore my new Bermuda Sands Joni Polo to the ocean later in the week. However he apparently changed his mind and put it on early. I guess it had something to do with wearing a shirt that was going to be comfortable to move around in. And we all know a man has to be comfortable if we are going to get him to do fun things like dance right? But hey it matched the dress I had planned to wear on the cruise so it really worked out for the good. And don't you agree he looks good!
