FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System

I've been trying hard to take advantage of the foods I get out of my garden each summer as well as buying in bulk at stores to save money. And part of doing that means I have to have a way to safely freeze my extras. One way is to vacuum seal them to keep them fresh longer. I’m already falling in love with my new FoodSaver® FM1510 Fresh Food Preservation System. By using it I will be able to keep my foods fresh up to 2X longer.

The system removes all air from the packaging that normally gets trapped inside causing food to lose flavor and nutrition. It’s super easy to use and is so compact it barely takes up any space on my counter. I really like that it came with both a vacuum-sealing container as well as a sampling of the vacuum zipper bags. This allowed me to test out both methods of preservation. I have to say I really like them both. The container was super easy to use, and the bags gave me confidence that the machine works because I could see the air being removed.

Another thing I like to do with my extras is share them with friends and family. Using Ball Collection Elite Sharing Jars I can do that in a fashionable way. They have a longer neck that's perfect for ribbons and other decorative flair. I can even tie a recipe card around them with ideas of how to use the contents too!
