I've been using an air fryer for awhile now instead of either oil frying or baking several basic foods my family likes to eat. And having done so I would have to say if you've been looking into getting an air fryer I would highly recommend it. If you're not familiar an air fryer uses super-heated rapid air to fry your favorite foods without the need for oil or other fats. Unlike some fancy kitchen appliances an air fryer is actually very simple and easy to use. You can opt to use one of the pre-programmed settings, or you can choose your own temperature and timer settings. For french fries I opt to use the pre-programmed setting since it is offered. It works perfectly, the fries come out crispy and not greasy. For the chicken nuggets however since there wasn't a pre-programmed setting specifically for nuggets I used the temperature and timer settings. I will note they did cook a little faster than I expected my first time around so it's better to go with a shorter time and check on your food until you're used to using the unit. The included instruction manual does include time settings for a nice array of everyday foods so you're ready to get cooking right out of the box!
I haven't tried it yet but you can also bake, roast, and grill using an air fryer. I'm thinking maybe for Christmas I might have to ask "Santa" to get me an air fryer cook book so I can explore more ways to use my air fryer to cook healthier meals for my family.
