San Francisco Bay Hawaiian Blend Coffee

Are you a casual coffee drinker? Or maybe you consider yourself to be an expert of all things coffee. If you'd asked me this question a year ago I would have said sure, I drink coffee on occasion. Of course that meant it had to be sweetened and flavored up with either sugar and milk, or a flavored creamer. Fast forward a year and my answer is completely different. I would now consider myself to be an avid coffee drinker. Not quite an expert, but I'm well on my way! Before I started drinking coffee on a daily basis this past winter I would have told you all coffee is the same regardless of brand or supposed flavoring of the coffee beans. That was because I hadn't been exposed to very many different kinds of coffee beans to even know there could be a difference. When I made the first pot of the San Francisco Bay Hawaiian Blend Coffee I figured it would taste like pretty much every other pot I'd made of our usual brand of coffee. Boy was I in for a surprise. I could actually tell the difference in the taste of the coffee. Heck I could even tell the difference when I first opened the bag, just the scent of the ground coffee itself was different. I couldn't believe it, there really is a difference! And to prove my curiosity I did a blind switch on my husband when making his thermos for work one morning. And guess what? He DID notice the difference and even asked me about it when he got home. He said it was really good and asked if I had done something different or switched to a different can of coffee. To me this proves that when people say there is a difference there really is. There is not only a difference in the flavor of the coffee after it's brewed, but also in the aroma of the coffee itself before and after. I think there is also something to be said about coffee beans that are ground and sent directly to the consumer. Besides the freshness, another great thing about ordering from Rogers Family is you can choose which roast you'd like for your coffee. They have regular, espresso, french, and extra dark roast options. I opted for the regular roast this time since I wasn't sure about branching out too much to start with. But now I'm thinking it may be time to be bold and maybe kick it up a notch and try a darker roast.

Want to know a little more about the Rogers Family Coffee Company and their journey? I invite you to watch the video below. I think you'll enjoy it, I know I did.
